A local media figure -someone whose name you might recognize- said to me, "I thought you should have been fired for the Albany Eye thing."

"That's funny," I replied, "Because I thought I was going to be fired. You know what that tells me?" The local media figure stared at me. "That tells me that what we think is irrelevant."
