Here Comes the Weekend
Keith Galley Update
As you probably already know, FOX 23 meteorologist Keith Galley plead guilty to drunk driving this week. Drug charges relating to the cocaine allegedly found in his car were dropped, and Galley will pay $380 in fines and fees.
Katie
Several people have written to ask what I think of Katie Couric possibly leaving the Today Show. I say go ahead and leave. The departures of Jane Pauley and Bryant Gumbel didn't hurt the program and neither would the loss of Katie Couric. The people who should be worried are the CBS affiliates who will see their network news completely tank if she becomes anchor. Can't say I'm a big Couric fan ---although I did like whenwe got to travel up her colon the way she likes getting up the butt of her interview subjects did that informative piece on colon cancer prevention a few years ago that featured her having a colonoscopy. Does that answer your question?
El Cheapo Grande
Trevanian, aka Rodney Whitaker, made a gift to the city he immortalized in his book The Crazyladies of Pearl Street. He gave the Albany Public Library a whopping $100 in his will. Maybe they could buy some pillows for the bums that enjoy sleeping in the library's main branch on Washington Avenue.
